Senior Project Manager
A leadership opportunity for an advanced project manager to lead multiple complex projects with an industry leader in the upstream oil & gas US and International markets. Projects are uniquely targeted in the shelf, deepwater, ultra deepwater surface and subsea segments.
Drive a sound Health, Safety and Environmental culture and promote practices throughout all phases of the project.
Execute multiple projects or groups of projects for key customer portfolio in accordance with commercial commitments.
Lead a team of area project managers, coordinators and cost analysts to ensure each project meets or exceeds budgeted revenues, profits and schedule deliveries.
Manage multi-discipline resources assigned to specific projects.
Identify commercial changes and initiate variance or changes in scope approval documents to clients.
Communicate with management on goals and objectives through verbal communication and written weekly reports.
Ensure ongoing improvement through evaluation of current processes.
Proactively manage the identification and resolution of project risks and issues.
Coordination of logistics per project requirements.
Demonstration of innovation, initiative, maturity, and sound judgement.
Ability to influence a group of diverse individuals, each with their own goals, needs, and perspectives, to work together effectively for the good of a project.
Monitoring of project schedule vs. forecasted schedule.
Provide or direct the appropriate level of project documentation during the project and following completion to assure compliance with corporate and governance policies.
Provide ongoing education and support for all project team members on the effective use of project management processes and tools.
All other duties as assigned.
Bachelor of Engineering, Construction, Management or related field preferred.
Minimum ten (10) years of experience as a project manager in the Oil & Gas segments.
Experience with Prima Vira, Projects or similar project management scheduling tools.
Good technical writing and communication skills.
Experienced with cost accounting and business management.
Working knowledge of fabrication and welding processes.
Project or area management experience in international locations and diverse cultural environments is preferred.
