The Process Safety Management/MOC Coordinator position will be responsible for system implementation and continual improvement of the site process safety (including the Risk Management Plan), loss prevention, and employee safety. This position coordinates Process Safety Management (PSM) and Property Protection (PP) efforts at the site, including Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and PSM/Risk Management Program (RMP) audits. This position will provide technical expertise to operating units to help evaluate risks and cost-effectively resolve PS/PP issues, including recommendations from PHAs, audits, and incident investigations. The Process Safety Coordinator will serve on PHA teams, facilitate LOPAs, develop procedures, lead/participate in incident investigations and safety training, interact with operations and maintenance and interface with external and internal regulatory bodies. An important part of the sites? HSSEM Teams, the Process Safety Coordinator will assist the department as needed.Essential Functions & Duties/Responsibilities:Leads process hazard analyses and revalidations for site and business enterprises. Evaluates and uses qualitative and single-event quantitative analysis to determine any consequences from accidental releases. Provides project input concerning process and personnel safety requirements included in generally accepted engineering standards such as NFPA, ASME, API, and CGA, reducing the business? need to hire third parties. Interfaces daily with the Site Operations and Technical Manager/staff to provide Process Safety support and align Site procedures/processes to Specialty Materials programs.Utilizes and maintains database of safety inspection findings, recommendations, and compliance items using SAP CMMS interface.Ensures all equipment scopes follow Process Safety Management and Environmental compliance guidelinesSupports the development of the Process Safety Management ProgramInsures the site/business meets all regulatory requirements regarding process and maintenance activities.Capable of maintaining complete MOC records and documents, including process and maintenance activities that relating to PSM requirements.Capable of using good analytical problem solving skills, including facilitating and articulating root cause analysis.Assist in creating, updating, and maintaining Safety Procedures.Provide technical advice/support to Maintenance and Operations as requested for the LNG Facilities.
Minimum 7 years? experience in a Process Safety Management role in the LNG, Chemical, or Refining Industry within a plant environmentAuditing experiencePreferred:Certified Safety Professional Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Technically proficient in all areas of process safety and loss prevention. Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills. Interface with external & internal regulatory bodies. Self-motivated and organizational skills to be enable planning, execution and implementation in a timely manner. Achieve results through diverse cross-functional teams. Proficient computer skills, data management and technical report/procedure writing. Excellent communication skills within all levels of the organization
