A JAB Recruitment client is seeking a Hexagon System Administrator to add to their team located in Lakewood, Colorado. This is a full-time, direct hire role. 

Primary Purpose:

The Hexagon System Administrator is responsible for developing and maintaining the organization’s Asset Information Model (AIM) software. The employee will be provide technical administration and support for the Hexagon SDx Application Suite (SDX) environments to continuously improve organizational efficiency and ability to access and utilize information. As a subject matter expert, the System Administrator will work closely Operations, Engineering Project Management, and Information Technology (IT) departments to establish and grow Hexagon’s role in the organization.

 

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively monitor system health and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance.
  • Work closely with other departments to integrate Hexagon SDx with other systems and tools.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to confirm roadmap and prioritization of continuous improvement.
  • Configure and maintain the Hexagon SDx system platform.
  • Manage all user accounts, respond to user requests, and provide technical support to the field.
  • Provide analysis, design, installation, development, implementation, configuration, training, support, upgrades, and administration of the Asset Information Model software - Hexagon SDx.
  • Provide guidance and support to integrate design and drawing data into SDx including P&IDs, metadata, tag information, and document management updates.
  • Support application design, coding, and testing of solutions.
  • Liaise with vendors to efficiently implement new software products or systems and resolve adaptation issues.
  • Establish and define AIM procedures for end users.
  • Conduct failure mode and root cause analysis on system failures and downtime when applicable.
  • Ensure that corporate data is secured in accordance with IT Security policies.
  • Provide SQL & Oracle database management, optimization, tuning, data integrity, migration, and loading to SDx database.
  • Support data transformation and load for import into Hexagon SDx environments.
  • Develop and maintain reports in the SDx report database using the Microsoft Power BI reporting tool.
  • Ensure the system complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Create reports for contact Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Perform preventative maintenance, including service packs, patches, hotfixes, etc.
 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Experience/Specific Knowledge:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working with Asset Information Model or document management systems. 
  • Experience in software implementation and software development life cycles.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, Python, XML and HTML. 
  • Experience with document management workflows.
  • Working knowledge of using SQL and demonstrated experience using SQL with PowerBI.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment and change management.
  • Demonstrated experience in working independently.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to support multiple teams/users.
  • Has, or can achieve, one of the following certifications:
    • Certification – Hexagon SDx Administrator
    • Certification – Hexagon Developer

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strongly prefer direct experience with Hexagon or Asset Information Models.
  • Understanding of pipeline operations and engineering workflows.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience with other Hexagon software products (e.g., SmartPlant).
  • Microsoft Azure DevOps experience.
  • Experience working in Microsoft Virtual Server environments.
  • Experience in system and network security.

Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).

  • Ability to quickly diagnose, troubleshoot, and remedy technical and performance problems.

  • Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, regulatory and Company tariff requirements.

Working Conditions:

  • Up to 25% travel to field locations as needed to ensure our commitment to compliance, asset management, work order management, warehouse management, reports, and training onsite personnel are met.
  • Required to carry a cell phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.
  • The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, including a credit report for certain positions, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.
