Project Engineer

Our Client, leaders in the delivery of fixed offshore wind projects are looking for Senior Project Engineers and Project Engineers to join their  team in the Aberdeen office on a staff or contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on some of the world’s largest current and upcoming Offshore Windfarm projects.
 
What you will be doing

• Prepare procedures and documentation (e.g. installation procedures, method statements, lift plans) for projects and tenders – liaising with other specialists as required (e.g. Structural designers, CAD designers, Geotech & Electrical).
• Prepare scopes of work for subcontracts and review / evaluate subcontractor documentation.
• Prepare and review planning for project preparation and execution.
• Identify and arrange project equipment / materials requirements.
• Prepare and take part in design reviews and task risk assessments.
• Complete administrative tasks for project engineering, as required.
• Participate in project execution at-site and offshore.
• Dependent on experience and seniority, lead engineers in the above tasks and other work packages.

• BEng / BSc or MEng / MSc degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Offshore Engineering or similar
• Relevant work experience within the offshore energy industry – particularly within foundations (piling, jackets), cables / umbilicals, heavy lift or similar.
• Knowledge of offshore working methods, planning and risk assessment.
• A practical approach and good communication skills
• An understanding of offshore wind foundations or subsea cable installation would be ideal, but is not essential.
