Senior Electrical Engineer

JAB Recruitment are working with a Client to source a Senior Electrical Engineer for an assignment based in Milan, Italy.  Our Client is looking for candidate with client or contractor major project experience

The role

• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budgets.
• Create schedules using project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) to track project milestones and deliverables.  Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring alignment with financial forecasts.
• Conduct cost analysis and variance reporting to identify and address budget discrepancies.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery.
• Monitor risk factors throughout the project lifecycle and adjust plans as necessary.
• Oversee the procurement process for project materials, equipment, and services, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to specifications.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to prepare bid documents, evaluate vendor proposals, and negotiate contracts.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures, conducting vendor assessments and maintaining relationships with suppliers.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
• Facilitate communication between project teams and external parties to support project execution. Ensure adherence to local, national, and international regulations.

• BSc or higher at oil & gas sector (not less than 10 years’ experience.
• Petroleum Tech. Institute with experience in oil & Gas Engineering projects (Non-graduate engineer/ 20 years’ experience in oil & gas production).

• Experience in Oil & Gas engineering & design sectors.
• Experience with EPIC projects.

• Proficiency Level in English Language
• Computer skills : Engineering Design Software (e.g., AutoCAD), Electrical Simulation Software, Microsoft office,  Power System Analysis Software
• Organization skills: Time Management, Task management, Planning, Attention to Detail, Problem-Solving, Communication, Problem-Solving.
• PMP or similar,  Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP) , IEC 61508 Functional Safety Certification , Safety Certifications,  Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred
